Mountain Cycling

www.acampbell.org.uk

I'm a regular cyclist both in Britain and abroad. I'm particularly interested in mountain cycling and am a member of Cycloclimbing OCD, a mountain cycling club. If you enjoy cycling in mountains you should certainly be a member.

The main mountain areas outside Britain I've cycled in are the Alps (French, Italian, Swiss, Austrian), Pyrenees, southern Spain, Corsica, and Greece; I've covered almost the whole of mainland Greece as well as Crete and one or two of the smaller islands.

Technical

I'm often asked if I have a mountain bike. If that means a frame with thick tubes and tyres and straight handlebars, no I don't. I have three touring bikes on which I ride pretty well anything, though I avoid mud. Admittedly I ride mainly on tarmac but I've done a fair amount of roughstuff, especially in Greece.
